Vulnerable Architecture in the Law

The image created by Andrey Goopsa shows the Donetsk Regional Academic Drama Theatre in Mariupol, Ukraine, before and after a Russian air strike on 16 March 2022. Many civilians who had sought refuge there were killed, and a cultural landmark of the city was devastated. Hence, International Law that wants to respond to what has been called urbicide may be concerned with the many forms of (liveable) life that architecture cherishes and embodies.
