Visitors listening to an explanation by a United Nations tour guide about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Declaration is a milestone document in the history of human rights. It is the first document to set out fundamental human rights to be universally protected. 

From November 25, International Day to End Violence Against Women, until December 10, Human Rights Day, the international community galvanises action to end violence against women and girls as part of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence”.
